Wounded Fork

We enjoyed being on the Twin Forks river and the large home for our family. Weather was varied which added to our trip. Quiet location.

It was a great rental we loved the peace and quiet. The place was clean and spacious. River is beautiful start nights by the campfire perfect for the family. Rental company was great and easy to work with. Whole experience was really good would definitely recommend!

The house was the perfect size for a larger group. Fits 10 people perfectly with extra space. Beautiful view of the creek and very peaceful.

We had a great time at Wounded Fork!! It was so spacious and had a great view of the river. There were six of us, so we all had plenty of room and one twin bed to spare. We went to Beech Mountain to go skiing and it was only 25 mins away. I highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Wounded Fork. Getting to the property was a little weird but once we got there it was wonderful. I liked how private it was and quiet. It was so nice to sit by the stream and just listen to the water going by. The house was clean and very roomy. The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to do. Went to Grandfather Mt., traveled the parkway, and went to Blowing Rock. We had a little trouble with the heater but great communication and it was dealt with quickly. We would definitely love to stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience form the very start! Choosing the perfect place...Booking it & conversing throughout the entire time leading up to our vacation. What a fantastic time we had in Boone, NC So much to do all within a very short drive. Our cabin was secluded and wonderful just as described. Will definitely be back! Highly recommended vacation experience all around! 5 Stars!!

Everything was exactly as described and showed in the pictures. The hot tub worked great, there was enough towels and pots & pans for our whole stay. Definitely recommend booking!! Their customer service was very good as well.

Everyone in my group thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property. It was conveniently located, while managing to feel removed from the hustle and bustle of town. The river view was enchanting. This is definitively our favorite place that we have stayed in the Boone area.

Property was clean and well apportioned. There was more than enough room for our family of 5 (2 parents and 3 kids). Everyone was able to have their own space, and this property would be perfect for families or couples groups traveling together, as there are 2 separate wings with a living area/kitchen in the middle. Its not the easiest place to find at night but the GPS on our smart phone and the property managers directions got us there. The location is peaceful right on the river and close to Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and Boone, but far enough away to get out of the hustle and bustle of those towns. The outside patio and the deck on the river are perfect places to relax and unwind, it was a bit chilly during our stay so we could have spent more time outside. The stretch of river out back is quite nice, and had some fishy looking water. We did not do any fishing due to the weather, but it would be recommended for anyone who wants to fish to get familiar with NC licensing and stream access . Overall a great home and a great weekend with the family.

We came from Raleigh for a family vacation and so enjoyed the perfect crisp weather! We visited Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls & Caverns, and played in the river! We saw a group of wild turkeys and had a visit from a black bear! The yellow trout in the river are friendly. Wounded Fork is a great place to stay and we can't wait for another trip!

Third time staying here. My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary this week. It was perfection. As I have said the last couple of times, this is the only place we'll stay when we come to the mountains. It feels like home and is very special to us.

Loved the past weekend-stayed for a wedding down the road. It is hard to go back home after the wonderful time we spent here. This was a great retreat from the stress of our daughter's wedding.

This house was perfect for our group. The house itself was homey and we loved all the space. The living and kitchen area were perfect for hanging out and playing games. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our many meals. Amazing view and the boys loved to hang out and fly fish in the river. We can't wait to book our next trip at this home.

Everything was great. Only issue: one of my guests said a handle fell off of the fooseball table, so we didn’t play, but no big deal. He told me the day we got there, but I neglected to report it as I was having phone issues (AT&T doesn’t do well there).

We had the most amazing time in this cabin! It was spacious and clean! My children basically lived in the hot tub. We enjoyed hours of sitting on the deck watching the fish and talking. There were board games that we all enjoyed. Thank you so much for letting our family enjoy your cabin. I recommend anyone wanting a secluded place to relax to definitely choose the Wounded Fork cabin. We will be back!

Wounded Fork is all that we needed. Private, serene, beauty, nature, fishing, hot tub……relaxation. We never left the place. We ordered food from TakeOut.com and simply talked and watched TV. Your home is beautiful - Thank you for sharing it with us. We have stayed in two of your other places several times - This one is our favorite. We hate to leave.

Girls weekend at the Wounded Fork was perfect! We are all working mothers and needed a peaceful weekend away. We enjoyed the hot tub and overlooking the river from the deck. What a view. Thanks for our very enjoyable weekend.
