Warm by the fire, tucked away in a private mountain area

Our annual tree trip, we’ve stayed with this group many times now, and highly recommend this or any of their managed cabins. They offer a concierge service which is helpful if you like to surprise your spouse with flowers or something like that. We enjoyed the fireplace every night as it gets cold up on the mountain. Plenty of wood to keep warm. (It does also have central heat and ac) but we like a good fire.

Anniversary Getaway

15 years renting in this area from Log Cabin Rentals and this was the first time without our boys and the first time renting Windsong. We brought our dog and the cabin was PERFECT! The views are better than the photos show and you cannot beat the fireplace on a cold night. The steep access road was perfect to exercise our dog.
If you enjoy good food, The Gamekeeper and The Restaurant at Gideon Ridge are a must. The gourmet sandwiches at The Ham Shoppe never disappoint. We love to hike and took our dog on an 8 mile hike up and down Rich Mountain just off the Blue Ridge Pkwy. If you are looking to stay in this area, Jim and the folks at Log Cabin Rentals are the best!

Valle Crucis Log Cabin Rental was awesome. I talked to Grady on several occasions and he always got back to me in a timely manner and was so helpful. He was awesome. The cabin was everything I imaged being in the mountains. I will definitely return.

Windsong Cabin was Fantastic!

We stayed at Windsong Cabin over the weekend and loved it! The cabin was nicely decorated in rustic style with a lot (I mean, a lot) of bear themed decorations which we loved. Everything was clean and in working order. The kitchen is fully stocked and we made good use of the jacuzzi tub. The cabin is a little hard to get to so definitely recommend a 4WD or AWD vehicle in the winter months. The only negative comment I can think of is that they provide firewood, but it is half under the porch, so when it rained we could not use it.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was perfect for 2 people primarily because the upstairs was very warm....not enough A/C vents. Another couple was to have joined us but had change of plans That worked out since too warm to sleep upstairs. We only used the downstairs facilities. Great views of the mountains. The "Tank Alert" went off but that was fixed. Overall nice visit.

Labor Day getaway!!

Getting to this home was quite a trip, its steep and winding and gravel all the way. Once you get there the home is nice. The views are the best thing about this home, The best on the street It could use some more outdoor sitting on the wonderful wrapped porch. The inside of the home was clean and accommodating, it had all the things you need in a stay. The only negative thing I can say was there was a badly stained dish towel left on the counter for us to use. We locked ourselves out on one afternoon after contacting the office, Grant was there in about ten minutes to let us in, he was very nice and courteous about it. We had a lovely stay and would stay again!

Beautiful get away.

Prefect little cabin for a winter getaway. House was cute. Amazing views of the mountains. The driveway was a little steep. Other than that it was beautiful.

We had a wonderful weekend. Hayes was terrific and an asset to your company..He was most helpful with recommendations on foods and events. Appalachian Mountain Brewing Company was a lot of fun- esp nice that they allowed our doggy! Great views from the cabin.
