Sweet Retreat at Sweetgrass

What a wonderful cabin in the woods! This home is so cozy and comfortable! We enjoyed walks everyday in the neighborhood and loved the beautiful lake. The porch was fantastic for our nightly fires. The kids especially loved the air hockey table and bunk beds in the basement! We had such a wonderful and hope to be back.

This was our 4th stay at this property and we once again had a great stay! The house was as clean and well appointed as we have come to expect. The service from BRMR was exceptional as it always is. The location cannot be beat. There's really not much more that needs to be said. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed time on the parkway, in town, and relaxing by the outdoor fireplace. we look forward to returning again soon!

Perfect....as always! This was our 3rd stay at this home and we found it clean and well appointed as always. The outdoor TV and grill have recently been replaced and we greatly enjoyed them. We received a few inches of snow during our stay and the kids enjoyed some time sledding while the adults relaxed by the outdoor fireplace and cooked meals in the well stocked kitchen.We will certainly return again!

Fantastic house for a big family. Very spacious with everything you need. Loved the hiking trails within the community (including one right beside the house!). Quick 15 minute drive to downtown blowing rock, and even closer to the BRP.

Great family experience. Plenty of room in a quiet mountain setting. Kids enjoyed fishing in lake and really enjoyed our nightly fire in outdoor fireplace making s'mores. Best of all was making family memories.

Beautiful neighborhood and well appointed cabin that was a wonderful hangout spot for a family weekend getaway. Nice outdoor seating area with TV is a definite plus, and the neighborhood was beautiful!

The house is beautiful and very well appointed. Quiet, gorgeous neighborhood on the outskirts of downtown BR. Mattresses were great and layout was really nice. Bedrooms were all a decent size. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and TV. Would definitely come again.

We arrived on a Friday evening left on Monday morning the house was great. Five bedrooms and 3 bathrooms the two downstairs rooms had a full bed on bottom and single bunk above. Our friends with small children thought the layout was great. They had everything you'd need for a quick getaway we explored blowing rock and boone which it's close to and went to ski beach was a fun time would definitely stay again thanks for having us.

Blue Ridge Mountain Rental has the friendliest staff and very helpful. Sweet Retreat was the perfect Mountain retreat for myself and my family. Beautiful home, very clean and beautiful views. Great location to all attractions.

We had a great stay. The house was very clean and well appointed. Everything we needed to cook gourmet meals was easily found in the well stocked kitchen. We used the outdoor tv and fireplace daily while enjoying the fall air! The house is 2 minutes from the parkway and about 10 from blowing rock (take the parkway instead of 22. It's a beautiful drive). The location couldn't be more convenient and the kids loved the air hockey table. We will definitely return!! It's worth noting that several of the bedrooms do not have drawers for storing clothes (but there's plenty of closet space!).There is also a decent amount of construction going on within the sweet grass neighborhood but it seems to shut down by cocktail hour so noise wasn't an issue. We highly recommend the beautiful home!

The house is beautiful! There was plenty of room in the living room for 4 adults and 2 small children to enjoy time together. The room downstairs was perfect for our 2 little grandsons to play. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace on the main deck. The beds are quite comfortable, as well. The house was stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and enjoy a week together. Since it was on a street with no outlet, the boys were able to ride their scooter and bike in the street (with adult supervision of course) as well as take rides in the wagon pulled by Mamaw and Papaw. There were a couple of areas near by where the boys were able to try their hand at fishing. The kids and grandsons also took a canoe ride at a rental place nearby. (By the way, the rental place had a good price on firewood). All in all, it was a fun experience for the whole family. I would definitely stay there again. The area is so wooded, I'm sure it would be beautiful in the fall (we were there in June). By the way, we saw deer and a family of turkeys from the house.

We had 5 people in our party and it was the perfect size for us. We liked that there was an outside fireplace and we used it every night. We stayed here as our base for riding motorcycles on the beautiful roads and being so close to the BRP was a plus. Paved roads to the house is always a plus when on bikes. Overall great house and location will stay here again for sure.

Wow wow wow! We had such a memorable vacation. We were two families with little kids. The bottom floor was essentially a game room and the kids were entertained for hours on end. Fully stocked with Nintendo wii and games, dvds, air hockey table... it was so much fun for them. The main floor was all open with a full stocked kitchen beautifully decorated with all stainless steel appliances and a coffee station (bring K cups or coffee) The view is gorgeous, the fireplace area outside was cozy amd more than we expected. There were trails next to the cabin and around the community. the cabin is inside a private community which was a huge plus for us, yet still private and spacious between cabins so you still feel secluded. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent time at this house. It was clean and Well equipped with everything even games for the kids. Parking was very easy to access and fit 3 cars. Plenty of space for everyone in the home. Would definitely return

The property is as expected! Amazing. The upstairs master with massive bathroom was fantastic! The outdoor fireplace with TV was so much fun. We found out snow was expected, so we planned ahead and got plenty of food and beverages! The indoor gas fireplace kept our family nice and toasty!

This home is absolutely beautiful. Easily accommodated our family with three different "sleeping floors" so there was plenty of room. A little difficult to find the house within the gated community - DO NOT USE GPS - follow the rental company's instructions and you will be fine. Well appointed with anything you needed to cook and that fireplace on the deck with tv is incredible. If you rather be inside the stoned wall fireplace is just as nice too! Awesome mattresses. Lots of board games and plenty of property to explore within the community.
