The cabin is absolutely adorable, with every amenity needed available. Although close to others, you never feel that way. The grounds are expertly maintained to provide privacy and the closeness of nature. The views of the creek are spectacular. Could not recommend this place more, it was everything we had hoped for.

We had a fantastic week at the cabin. It is beautiful and well stocked. Two BBQ gas grills. Beautiful overlook to the river. Centrally located to lots of wineries, restaurants, bars, Grandfathers Mountain and scenic areas. Host service was fantastic and always fast to communicate with us. Extremely happy with our stay and service.

The River Sound cabin was a perfect place for our small family! Conveniently located near the Elk River and close to a beautiful hike with a waterfall on the Lodges at Eagles Nest property. Everything you could need is supplied in the cabin and the owner was super helpful and came out within minutes when we needed him. Joanie was very attentive with texting us before we checked in and at departure to make sure everything went well. We love River Sound and the surrounding area. We'll be back for sure!!!

This is a cozy spot for a couple or small family. The surrounding area was beautiful. There is a lot of privacy even though it is close to the road and some similar cabins. They way the property is situated you can't see any other cabins nor the road so you feel like you are out in the wilderness. The cabin and wilderness themed decor makes for a great experience. Bed is comfortable, finishing touches are high end with beautiful wood, slate and other stone finishes. Very nicely done. Easy trip in to Banner Elk and you have access to everything Eagle's Nest has to offer. Take advantage of driving through Eagles Nest for amazing views and fun mini-golf.

My wife and I had a great stay here. The house is actually across the street from the larger, gated community, tucked in with about 3 other homes in a separate, gated area. The decks are a wonderful place to relax and house is quite elegant. As some have mentioned the only downside is being right next to the road as you can hear traffic (mostly the bigger trucks) as they drive by. However, the 2 min walk to beautiful fishing water more than made up for this for us.

Husband, wife, and 9 yr old daughter on trip. There were larger properties to choose from, for sure, but we didn’t need anything bigger. The size of property was perfect. Loved the open floor plan. We realized after checking in how much this felt like a cabin. Others look like cabins on the outside but more like houses on the inside. We never noticed the traffic on the road. The pictures don’t do the interior justice. The main bed is solid wood with wood carvings of trees on posts. Two beautiful orange lamps on each side of bed were awesome. The fireplace is nicely done, with stone, not too gaudy. Wooden ceiling, wooden stairs, wooden front door, wooden flooring etc....

I can't say enough about this cabin. It was perfect for our stay and my only regret is not booking more days. We spent an entire day on the property just exploring all the beautiful surroundings and another day nearby on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We visited nearby Grandfather Mountain and then went to Blowing Rock and Boone for the afternoon. We loved returning to the cabin and cooking meals in the kitchen. The cabin is breathtaking and very clean and the porch is amazing with the view of the creek. It was so relaxing. We could hear some road noise at times but we didnt mind it. Will definitely return!

This was a perfect cabin for our small family, located by the river and ample outdoor space to enjoy the nature. It was few minutes from some great waterfalls, tracks and Grandfather mountain. We absolutely loved our stay here.

We were very impressed with the quality of this property from the amenities, cleanliness, and the excellent communication with the property manager Joanie. The only downside is it’s proximity to the road. There was little more road noise than I prefer which could be a deal breaker for some. Despite that it’s definitely a 5 star property and worth renting.

Great opportunity to take a safe vacation amidst pandemic. Property was well cleaned and maintained with easy access to Banner Elk. Beautiful and cozy. The multiple terracing balconies overlooking the river really make this place standout. All sorts of great amenities and conveniences of home. Property manager was friendly and easy to work with.

We loved staying at Riversound! We had all we needed in our cozy cabin and really enjoyed being on the river! The cabin was beautiful and the kids loved the loft area. Amenities were top notch. Super clean! We will be back. Only negative was the traffic noise since we were so close to the main road. But it didn't dampen our vacay!

My sister's and I very much enjoyed this cabin and it's proximity to the river. The sound of the river among the fall color was spectacular. The cabin was solid, very clean and had everything we needed. Local restaurants were great. Town's people were friendly. I would definitely come back to this area. The only drawback with this particular cabin is it's proximity to the road - there is a good bit of noise from it. Everything else was perfect though so if you don't care about cars/trucks going by, this cabin is awesome! A special thanks to Joanie for all her helpfulness! She rocks!

Very nice property. Smelled new when we first walked in. Very clean and well decorated . It has all of the amenities you need like cooking utensils, laundry products and toiletries - no need to pack anything from home except clothes and hiking boots. There's even a fishing pole for use in the local pond. Though it is close to the road, we knew this going in. Road noise was not a problem at night and we were out and about during the day anyway. Communication with the property manager was very good - always got a prompt reply.

The expansive decks are great for relaxing to the sounds of the river. The Cabin is beautiful and well appointed. Very comfortable location I would stay here again and highly recommend this beautiful unit. If a big group is getting together, as in our case, it would be a plus to rent one of 4 units in this pod.

Nice well-kept smallish cabin with open layout plus loft. Lots of deck space for views of the stream. Pool access next neighborhood over (5 minute walk) and community access. Road is directly behind the house but not terribly noticeable. Overall a great stay.

Not only was the cabin great, but more surprisingly was the Eagles Nest neighborhood with all of the included amenities. My kids had a blast at the Toy Barn having access to all of the different sports equipment. Overall, we had a great stay! Would go back again!

Great place for a couple or small family! It is very easy to get to. Beautiful cabin has everything you need in it for a short stay. It is right off the road but the sound of the creek definitely muffles the traffic.

After driving five hours from Nashville, we arrived on Thursday late afternoon to paradise! Sometimes when you see something advertised on line, it never quite looks as wonderful in person. Well, imagine our delight to have all our expectations exceeded!! It was like living in a cozy tree house! All the finishes were high end and the bed was insanely comfortable! The location is awesome, easy driving to Banner Elk, Beech Mountain, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. The house was equipped with everything we needed to BBQ and have a fabulous dinner outside and enjoy drinks on the porch. Can't say enough wonderful things about our experience!! We'll be back!!

We were so impressed with this little cottage! It was CLEAN which is so important to me. It also had up to date furniture and appliances. The scenery and back porch area were also a plus! Loved our stay at the Riverfront Cabin. It was beautifully appointed and well-equipped. Communication with management was smooth and effortless. We received a detailed email with check-in instructions and codes prior to arriving, and everything went as planned. The outside decks were amazing and we enjoyed drinking morning coffee or an evening glass of wine overlooking the river. Our kids loved the loft, and the space was perfect for a family of four for a weekend getaway.

This property was absolutely delightful. Well suited for a couple or a family with small children. The cabin is small, one room with a loft but the owners have spared nothing for decoration and furnishings. Home sits next to other cabins but backs up to the river and woods so it has a very private feel. We spent tons of time on the back porch, that is furnished with comfortable couch & chairs, and my boys loved watching football on the outdoor TV. We enjoyed the amenities, the fishing ponds, it was simply a wonderful stay. Wish it lasted longer!

Where to begin. If you are looking for a quite getaway with your spouse, or if you have small children and would like to visit the mountains--this is the perfect rental. Everything about the property is special. My wife and I rented the cabin for the weekend. Upon our arrival on Friday evening our 2 children (11 and 7) were so excited. The cabin is a one room structure with an exposed loft that sleeps 2 comfortably. The cabin has a rustic feel while all of the appliances and amenities are state of the art. The master king bed was very comfortable. The property is located beside a stream and the relaxing sound of the stream was so peaceful. The owners clearly spared no expense in designing this cozy getaway. The Bedding, TV, Shower, washer-dryer, TV outside on porch were all perfect. Selfishly, I hesitate to write this review because I would like to keep this gem a secret. The amenities in Eagles Nest across the street (basketball court, disc golf, and playground) were also an added bonus that we plan on utilizing on our next trip. Go ahead and book this cabin, you will not be disappointed.
