Awesome cabin! Fit two families perfectly and the game room was so perfect for kids and fun! The place was clean and specious with beautiful views! The hot tub was such a nice added touch! We hope to stay here again in the future!

Press pause has everything needed for two families of 8 total people to enjoy a complete Thanksgiving dinner. The kitchen was fully equipped and we couldn't have asked for anything else. The cabin was clean, modern and immaculate. The furniture and linens are tasteful and of high quality. The view off the deck allows for amazing morning coffee and sunset wine views. The game room was a hit with the 4 kids ages 3-15, every common space has a collection of puzzles, books and games for all ages. Press pause is an easy choice to enjoy Beech Mountain.

Our stay at Press Pause was perfect. As a large family, it provided everything we needed and more. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were so comfortable, lovely furnishings, and the games and details for the kids were such an exciting find. The view from the deck is outstanding. We really felt like we were up in the clouds and didn't want to leave. Next time we come we know we can pack less! Thank you for providing such a comfortable and peaceful space.

A lot of care and attention went into equipping the house with everything guests might need. Large table was great for card games, puzzles, and sharing a meal. After a cozy weekend, we hope to return again another time.

It’s less than a 5 min drive to beech mt. The hot tub was spacious and functioned well. Game room is fun for kids. Nice living room with a great view. It serves its purpose well.

The cabin has stunning views and is in a great location. You can walk to Beech Mountain and there is a sledding hill for kids and restaurants nearby. We hope to come back again!

Your house is amazing! It's not only clean, but the decorations make it so cozy and cute. We had so much fun on a rainy day with the game room and the hot tub. The views are beautiful and we had everything we needed. Its in a great location. Hope to be back soon!

This stay was spectacular! I went to school at Appstate so I know how the roads can get but this location was absolutely beautiful and very accessible even for my sedan! The home was completely clean and staged perfectly! My party of 9 truly enjoyed the experience! Host was also very quick to respond even after hours which was so helpful! 100/100 recommend this stay!

Every year my family and I go to the mountains for a long weekend. We have stayed at many rentals but this was by far the fan favorite. They have everything a kid and “big” kid could need. We were in the game room late into every night. They definitely have thought of families when creating this space and mine can't wait to go back. I already miss the view and the tabletop fire pit. You can drive to beech mountain resort in 2 min or walk! Banner Elk is a quick 15 min drive. I already have family and friends asking where we stayed! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

In all my years staying at vacation rentals have I rarely come across a gem like Press Pause. As soon as I entered the house the view took my breath away. Floor to ceiling windows to watch the sunrise. The game room is a kid's paradise. Clean, quiet and comfortable, it's an absolute no brainer!

This is by far the nicest house my family has vacationed at in a very long time. From the very moment we arrived after a day of travel, we opened the front door to a comforting entrance, a spectacular view, and found all the essentials needed to start our vacation. Straight through to the easy checkout at the end of the weekend, everything was perfect! This home had everything we needed and more, from the spacious 3 bedrooms and bathrooms to the large open living space and well-equipped game room that was truly paradise. Close to the ski lift, hiking trails, and Fred's quaint country store with delicious restaurant, while other day excursions were not far away as well. As “Press Pause,” this home is very appropriately named - we “disconnected” from our devices and reconnected with each other. It truly is a paradise and we will most definitely be back!

The view from the balcony made the whole trip. We kept the big sliding doors open and the cool air was perfect while we had breakfast or lounged on the huge couch. Design of the place was very unique and fun. Kids loved having the downstairs playroom and so did the adults!

Sit and eat on the porch as much as humanly possible. :) We LOVED hiking the Emerald Outback (so magical!) and the Lower Pond Creek Trail (epic adventure!). We were here with kids aged 12, 9, 8, 7 and 2, and it was perfect for all of us. Driving through Valle Crucis to the original Mast General Store was wonderful. We also loved the pool here on Beech Mountain. Definitely hope to return to this heavenly place in summer. Our new design standard in our homes: "What would "Press Pause" do?" Thank you for sharing this absolutely gorgeous and whimsical home with our two families so cousins and brothers/sisters could come together. We soaked up every ounce of natural beauty, enjoyed all the cozy details, the game room that reminded us of our fav 80s games! And the well stocked kitchen! Thank you - There is love in this home, and it shows.

We stayed here for my best friends wedding on 4th of July. Perfect location for it. Great time watching fireworks on the balcony and playing on the pinball machine. The wildlife here is wonderful. We saw 2 deer come by the cabin frequently.
