Mountaineer Manor

This place was peaceful and beautiful. The home had everything we needed to have a relaxing family retreat. The NC weather was perfect and always changing. We enjoyed some days in the lower 60s then saw some snow too. There was plenty to do around the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy cooked family meals. The kids loved the downstairs area with pool table and games. The dogs even had a great place to run around and enjoy the great outdoors. The location was great. There were stores and restaurants close by. Couldn't have asked for a better place. Would love to return. The people at Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals were amazing and prompt to assist us with our needs.

Property is exactly as described and photographed. Wonderful property. Stayed for four nights. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 small children (4 & 8). They loved the lower level game room. Our dog enjoyed the yard. House has everything. Beautiful mountain views. Would absolutely return. Highly recommend.

Loved the place! Great layout and kitchen was well stocked. Gorgeous view and close to waterfall hikes and less then 30 min for skiing folks. Would highly recommend this place.

What a beautiful cabin! It had everything we needed and more as the basement is filled with fun things for everyone. We spent alot of our time on the porch soaking in the sun and the view. If we were really quiet deer would visit the front lawn of the cabin. My family and I all agree we would come back again.

Gorgeous home in great condition, with quality decor, quality linens, nice amenities and well-supplied with plenty of smart TVs, games, books, French press, grinder, AND Keurig, all the dishes, utensils, and spices you could want. Stayed over Memorial Day weekend with my husband, his mom, and our two teens. Could have accommodated at least one more couple comfortably and still had a futon to spare. The dogs loved the large fenced yard, we loved the fire pit with supplied weenie-roasting and s'mores sticks. It was VERY private while being close to the Mast General store and not terribly far from the grocery store in Boone. Only wish it was bigger so I could bring the whole extended family next year!

We came from the SC Lowcountry up the NC High Country and couldn't have asked for more in the rental property. The house is modern and well-furnished. The kitchen had everything to make meals and was well-stocked with dishes and appliances. The basement was great to watch some football and was roomy enough for everyone. The main floor was great and the gas fireplace was a delight every morning. The deck on the front of the house offered great views and comfy chairs to drink some coffee and relax. My 3-year-old loved the bunk bed and the kid's room. The master bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Short drive to Boone, Grandfather Mtn, and we made a trip to TN to do some trout fishing.

My husband & I had a fantastic week along with our dog at Mountaineer Manor. The house is amazing - super comfy furniture, fully stocked kitchen & we loved the whole house speaker system. It's an easy drive into Boone & to get to other area attractions. We had a few days of rain but there was plenty to do inside that it wasn't an issue for us. We would highly recommend this cabin & Blue Ridge Mountain rentals. Communication was great & check in/check out was a breeze. Thanks again for letting us stay at your cabin!

This place exceeds our expectation in every way. The house is tastefully decorated, clean, and spacious. Location is excellent, private, quiet, and yet not too far from all the attractions. We stayed in summer but considering coming back again in fall/winter. Highly recommend to all.

Something for everyone, 9 in all. Space for children to play in the downstairs while parents and grandparents enjoyed upper two levels. Great and restful views from both inside and outside. The huge fenced dog yard was great for a dog run since leash laws were in effect on all parks and trails. In all a perfect staging facility for enjoying a week of enjoying nature.

Beautiful home. Very clean. Great views. Brought our dog and he loved the yard. Party basement was great. House was safe for 2 toddlers. Close enough to little town and great hikes. Nice kitchen!

We had an amazing stay! The cabin was amazing and the view breathtaking! Everything was so clean and looked brand new! The kitchen was so well stocked with pots, pans, kitchen gear, and even tons of spices that we actually enjoyed cooking on our nights in! The cabin was spotless and stocked with tons of cleaning supplies & equipment. This was a huge relief when trying to get out of our safe space to change the scenery and still be safe during these crazy covid times. Even the library in the game room had a great vast collection for any book lover! When we called maintenance/housekeeping for a couple of minor things, the response was almost immediate like they were a few blocks away each time! We were sad to leave and hope to come back soon!! Highly recommend!!!

Our family of 2 adults, 3 kids (9, 12, 15) and 2 labs enjoyed our stay. Seamless check in. House was clean and beautifully decorated. Kitchen well equipped. Had brew coffeemaker and Keurig. Entire family enjoyed the pool table. We really appreciated having the large fenced area for our dogs to run around. One morning my husband saw 10 deer behind the house when taking the dogs out. If Mountaineer Manor is available on our next visit to NC mountains, we would happily stay here again.

Breathtaking views and amazing space! The place was even better in person, and the amenities provided us with so much to do – fire pit, pool table, grill, cozy living room, house-wide speakers. The house was beautifully decorated and the appliances and furniture were very up to date. The last half mile to the house is pretty steep and bumpy so definitely recommend an SUV/truck! I would definitely stay here again and again!

We had the best time at Mountain Manor! This home is beautiful-the views are amazing-its quiet, located in a beautiful historical little town surrounded by hiking, tubing, shopping, state parks and scenery for days. There is a separate fenced portion of yard for your four legged friends to get some running done in. Overall, extremely spacious and lots to do in the area.

Gorgeous house and perfect location, it has many routes to access the Cabin. Pictures don't make it justice, the house is 100 times better in person. The cabin was spotless when we arrived, and everything you need from cups to pans. It was a true home away from home. The host is very helpful and will make sure you enjoy your stay! ***Be aware if planning to go in the Winter AWD or 4X4 is a must*** My family will definitely be back to this cozy and beautiful home with breathtaking scenery.

We enjoyed Christmas ? here. It is a beautiful home. The beds are comfortable and the view is beautiful thru huge windows. It's close to Boone, Blowing Rock abd Banner Elk. I'd definitely come back.

The house was the best we have ever used in the 10+ years we've been going to that area. It has a very nice kitchen and a great family area. With the full basement floor, there was plenty of space to spread out. The sunrise views were spectacular!

Hurricane Dorian evacuation orders were unexpected. Mountaineer Manor was a fantastic home away from home...modestly stocked w/ everything you could need, easy to locate necessities. The fire pit was so fun for family social. Yhe
