Howling at the Moon at Eagles Nest

We had the BEST week at Howling at the Moon at Eagles Nest! What an amazing home. The home was beautifully decorated, very clean with a top secret room just for the kiddos ?. The house was perfectly situated on the Mountain. The view is beautiful. It is a short ride down to Banner Elk and a short ride up to the Eagle Nest Winery. We loved sitting on the porch with blankets and a fire going in the outside fireplace. The kids loved the hot tub, the nearby park and just being outside. We cannot wait to go back to this beautiful property. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!

Our stay at Howling at the Moon was exactly what we all needed: relaxation at its finest! From the time we entered, we were blown away by the homes beauty and how welcome and comfortable we all felt. The hosts have thought of everything one could want while spending time away from home, from entertainment to kitchen needs to toiletries and bedding. We spent much of our time at the cabin, enjoying the slow-pace of life and all that the home had to offer. The views were absolutely breath-taking!!! As a family, we enjoyed the games the hosts had available, movie nights in the living room and countless s'mores at the fire pit. There are activity options within the community as well, like a playground, putt-putt and occasional concerts. If you decide to venture outside the cabin community, there are plenty of things to do within a short drive. We enjoyed hiking and taking in the views at Linville Falls and Grandfather Mountain. Grocery stores and restaurants are convenient and nearby, as well. We created so many great memories while here and hope to visit again!!!

We had a great long weekend at Howling at The Moon. We have visited Eagles Nest multiple times now and this was definitely the best house we have stayed in. The space in the home is perfect for two families with children. The kitchen is well stocked and has a great view of the mountains. The game room was a huge hit for the kids while the adults enjoyed the beautiful outdoor living space with spectacular views. This home is also located close to Great Camp and many times we walked to the Dollar General or the fields there. We would love to come back and thanks for Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals for always doing a great job!

This place was great. We have stayed at about a dozen places all over the mountain and this was our favorite. Convenient location, great view, the house was gorgeous and great for a family with all the amenities.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at The Howling at the Moon cabin! It was perfectly located about 10 minutes or so from Main Street in downtown, which was such a cute little place to go shopping and eat at. It was also super close to sugar mountain so skiing was about a 20 minute zip up the mountain. The interior of the home was unbelievable! The sunrise and sunsets over the mountains were like a dream! We also really enjoyed all of the amenities they added into the game rooms and the outdoor deck spa area ? Thanks again! We can't wait to book our next trip to Howling at the Moon!

A few weeks ago, my fiancé and I, as well as six of our friends, stayed at this gorgeous cabin for a little vacation. We could tell what an incredible stay this would be just by our first impression of the beautiful community in which Howling at the Moon was located. The drive up the mountain was amazing and filled with great views of the property. We also noticed a really nice dollar general and sports area located centrally in the community, which was awesome! The Dollar General was so convenient and open 24/7. This really came in handy! Once we arrived to the cabin, we were speechless. It's essentially a mansion in the mountains. The interior was beautifully designed, and you can truly tell how much time and effort was spent crafting this cabin into the perfect getaway. I still can't get over the sleek, modern, and personalized touches that were included in every area of the cabin, making it just that much more beautiful. The rooms were amazing and spacious. The master suite had HEATED FLOORS for those cold snowy nights! There was a perfect room for kids complete with a hidden cave in the room that the kids can play in or watch TV in. Even the adults love it! I also loved and appreciated the fact that the kitchen was fully stocked with any appliances or cookware you could ever need. It was so convenient to not have to worry about bringing our own kitchen items! There was also plenty of complimentary coffee and hot chocolate which was amazing! The TV selection was also excellent, which is something our group cared about, to watch movies or have cozy nights in (the huge fireplace was great for that too!). One of my favorite parts of this cabin was the hot tub area, right next to a fire pit, that featured absolutely breath taking views. The views in the morning and during day from the hot tub were spectacular. I loved spending time in there! The cabin was perfectly located in the cute, quaint town of Banner Elk, that had tons of incredible restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and other food markets. There were lots of great shops and wineries within a short drive. One of the other important things to our group on this trip was the proximity to the ski slopes, as many of the guys specifically came on this trip to snowboard. It was a very short drive from the cabin and so convenient for our group! We had an amazing vacation and it is all thanks to the gorgeous cabin we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to stay in! It made our trip so special and so luxurious. I wish we could spend every vacation here! We will definitely be coming back as soon as we can! I am so grateful to those who created and care for Howling at the Moon, it is an absolutely beautiful place! I will forever recommend this cabin to my friends and loved ones!

The house was beautiful! The layout was great. Beds were comfy and plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Unfortunately we weren't able to use the outdoor fireplace or hot tub because of the weather - it rained.

We had a wonderful stay at Howling at the Moon! Eagles Nest is a beautiful, family friendly property, and this home was super clean, had comfortable bedding, a well stocked kitchen, and a great bunk room with “secret hideout” playroom that our kids loved! The home is also in close proximity to the Great Camp and store. Will definitely be back!

We stayed in a great home on Eagles Ridge. Surrounded by wildlife and great sunrises yet separated from most people it was a super retreat. Unfortunately Hurricane Ian hit our home. At least we were not there

Our stay at Howling at the Moon in Eagles Nest was absolutely spectacular! The home is gorgeous, very comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated, and very clean. The back terrace, fire pit, and hot tub are great too! In fact, we loved it so much that we purchased a lot in Eagles Nest while we were there to build our own home. The Eagle's Nest community is like no other in the area, and we were within a short drive of the beautiful Banner Elk area, Boone, and Blowing Rock. So much too do in that area! However, if you wish to just enjoy Eagles Nest there is so much to do there too. We enjoyed the Saturday concert at the Great Camp, hiked, visited the winery, rode the UTVs for two days, and played with our grandson and children in the fields. We enjoyed great restaurants in Banner Elk too, but my favorite was having family dinners in the home which has everything you need to prepare a fabulous meal. An absolutely magical week!

Where to begin with how perfect this place was? This home was the reason our entire trip was wonderful. As soon as you walk in you feel as though you have entered the picture perfect huge home in the mountains. The lay out is perfect for families, the views from all the rooms (including the bathroom) is breathtaking. The home was spotless; full of high end, decorations, artwork and home upgrades. The attention to detail was remarkable; from the special towel for make up removal to the cooler on the covered deck. The kids and adults LOVED the game room full of fun games and old school video console. We stayed for 7 nights but could have easily done 10. I have rented from VRBO and Airbnb numerous times and never had a five star experience, this was the best experience I ever had. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub (with views) was amazing, the fire pit was so much fun. The community amenities kept us on the property for two full days. We hiked (low to advanced levels), played in the great camp, ate at the lodge, fished, had adult time at the winery where the wood oven pizza was delicious, and lastly we spent quality family time at home enjoying the view, grilling and playing games. We are already planning our return trip!

We recently stayed in the new, beautiful Howling at the Moon home. This home is so spacious, inviting and well appointed. The owners have great attention to detail! We have stayed in many homes in Eagles Nest. This is our new favorite. We look forward to returning soon. The customer service at Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals is outstanding! They make our vacation planning and stay a nice experience.
