Welcome to Gone Skii’Inn! This cozy cottage is minutes from Sugar Mountain and from the quaint restaurants and shops of Banner Elk.
The open floor plan makes Gone Ski’Inn a perfect place to enjoy time together with family and friends.
The main floor opens to kitchen, dining room, and cozy living room with a gas fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare your favorite meal or use the gas grill if you prefer. The kitchen has a Keurig and drip coffee maker. Pack your favorite coffee and start your day watching the sunrise over the mountain top. Enjoy the view from the large windows in the family room or from the wrap around porch.
The primary bedroom is located on the main floor with a king-sized bed and TV. The newly remodeled main floor bathroom has a double vanity sink and glass walk-in shower with modern subway tiles. Full washer and dryer are located on the main level.
Upstairs there are 2 additional bedrooms and a full tub/shower bathroom. One bedroom has a king bed with tv and the other is a bunk room with 2 sets of XL twin beds, each with a pull-out twin trundle bed below; it's a perfect spot for the kiddos to unwind from the busy day.
Enjoy a glass of wine or a mug of hot chocolate under the stars at the fire pit. You feel like you are up in the treetops on this quiet, secluded property.
Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain are a short drive from the cabin.
Additional notes:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. This home also provides a boot/glove dryer, hair dryer, and portable wireless speaker.
- This home is dog friendly for a max of two (2) dogs with a pet fee of $25/nt per dog.
- Due to the steep, curvy roads, AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months or during snow/ice fall.
- Returning guests of Gone Ski'Inn can enjoy a 5% discount!
- Firewood may be added at the time of booking under "Additional Fees" after entering payment info or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- Enough parking space for 4 vehicles.

We had 6 adults and plenty of room. The house is clean and trendy. It snowed and we had no issues with the driveway in an AWD. All of the main roads were salted and plowed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was honestly the cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The cabin presented itself as lovely and spacious as the pictures online show. The property itself is nestled on the side of the mountain and provides picturesque views of the Appalachian range. We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was clean, a very warm decoration that made you feel like you were at home. It is a very quiet area but a few miles away you will find all the shops available to buy what you need and many activities to do as a family. We had an absolutely fantastic stay on this beautiful home at Sugar Mountain. Absolutely everything you need they have and everything is very much updated and up-to-date. The downstairs master bathroom and bedroom are beautiful. And upstairs very comfortable also. We stayed with four adults and a toddler and we had plenty of space to sit, play and have fun. There are some nice trails in the neighborhood that we took advantage of. And when we needed some delicious coffee or a good lunch or dinner we just hopped in the car and in 10 to 15 minutes down the hill we had access to great coffee and barbecue.
