D-Coy's Nest was built to impress! Over 3,000 square feet of Moss Creek Design timber frame construction, this home is perfect for a large family or group of friends to begin a new tradition of making memories in the High Country! This stunning farm house sits on 4 acres of un-touched, rolling landscape and offers long range mountain views that will leave you speechless.
Step inside to be greeted by beautiful vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors and a stacked stone gas-fireplace, creating a spacious homey feel. Venture into the gourmet kitchen which is furnished with beautiful granite counters, a large custom island, plenty of cooking essentials for the family chef and upgraded appliances.
Take a load off outside on the massive front porch and admire the views of the mountains, while relaxing in the rocking chairs or sit in the hot tub under a full sky of stars. The home features a beautiful fire pit, as well. This elegantly decorated home is a perfect, rustic mountain getaway for all seasons. If you can find it within yourself to go out after you get settled in, you are just 10 minutes from downtown Banner Elk and Valle Crucis, 15 minutes from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and 20 minutes from Beech Mountain Ski Resort. A level-two electric vehicle charger is available for guest use.

Sleeping Accommodations:
Master Bedroom on main lever with a queen size bed.
Second bedroom on main level with 2 twin beds.
Third bedroom upstairs with a King bed (Jack & Jill bathroom).
Fourth bedroom upstairs with a King bed (Jack & Jill bathroom).
Loft area with one bunk bed and 2 queen size sleeper sofas.
- D-Coy's Nest is across the street from Scroll Rock, a quaint 1 bedroom cabin on Pigeon Roost Creek, if part of your group would like to have their own private accommodations.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
- At just over 4000 feet elevation, this house does not have air conditioning.
- Guests returning to D-Coy's Nest may receive a 10% discount, not to be stacked with other discounts.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- The homeowner uses two exterior security cameras to monitor their home and ensure it remains safe. #1 is beside the gutter on the driveway side of the home facing the driveway. #2 is on the back porch overlooking the driveway and back yard.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

D-Coys Nest is a beautiful home with a gorgeous view. Our whole family enjoyed the expansive porches and large den. The location was perfect driving to all of our outings. Our only regret is we couldn't stay longer. We walked down to the cottage across the street to see their other piece of property and thought how fabulous for overflow! Just spent 3 nights at D-Coy's Nest and never wanted to leave! The house is amazing and the property is amazing. The kitchen is so fully equipped with literally anything you might need. The furniture is comfy as are the beds. The outdoor spaces rival the indoor spaces with the hot tub, firepit and so much acreage to walk and hike. We had a wonderful time together! This home is gorgeous and has everything you need! The porches are perfect for enjoying being outside! We made s'mores and hotdogs over the beautiful fire pit as well as relaxing in the hot tub while looking at the stars! Across the street there is a creek and hiking trails near the house that look like logging trails that lead up to a fabulous place to view the mountains! The acreage that this home sits on allows for lots of fun games! I can't not mention how helpful and friendly the Blue Ridge Rental staff were....would definitely love to rent here again!- Mary Todd, Posted: 09/24/2019
We had an awesome time during our stay in Banner Elk. The house has tons of room and comfortably sleeps 10 people. There were tons of supplies available in the kitchen to enjoy cooking in and plenty of towels, clean linens, etc. for a large amount of guests. The owners are also extremely dog-friendly which we greatly appreciated. The views of the mountains were beautiful and several times we saw anywhere from 3 to 6 deer walking grazing in the front yard. There's a large outdoor patio which made the views even more enjoyable. The location is very convenient to Sugar Mountain, where we would either go ski during the day or go night skiing. The management company was also very responsive to any questions we had.
